Whenever a society is about to witness a remarkable turning point in it’s history, something very special must happen to it before the golden moment.
There’s virtually no parameter good enough to measure success than achievements. Sokoto State has been on a shady ride for a period of isle on now because the leadership is unfocused and inexperienced.
This unwholesome development made the whole state more like trash on the street.
There’s no collection of words good enough to describe the rogh nature of our backwardness in the last three years or thereabout, simply because governance is taken for a children’s party.
When this situation ensued without any end in sight, both the people and the leaders found it imperative that the only safe way out of the creekside is terminating the mandate and ceding it to the Man of the moment.
A demagogic progressive and the brainchild of the most successful politician of our time. That’s no other person than His Excellency the former Deputy Governor of Sokoto State and the APC Gubernatorial candidate Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto.
A man of strategic vision with excellent track record.
When a leader is set to make history, one would only but pay attention to his antecedents to be able to correspond.
As a young civil servant Ahmad Aliyu secured a daily bread for hundreds of young people through jobs and personal empowerment initiatives.
As director of finance he fought hard to redeem the state from the shackles of inordinate handling by the then Governor Bafarawa and contributed immensely to the formation of Wamakko’s government which later found him worthy of appointment as commissioner for social welfare, youths and sports.
During his time on this capacity no less than 500 000 youths were engaged in various trades and crafts to prepare them for self reliance which is why the youths of Sokoto sees him as the golden hero.
Yet as a member of the state executive council Ahmed Aliyu made tremendous contribution to the success of one of the most successful administration in the state.
From social welfare to Health.
While Ahmed Aliyu was serving the state as it’s commissioner for health the story is meant to come in a book of it’s own.
As a seasoned administrator by orientation he made sure our health care delivery system is second to none in the country with state of the art facilities in rular hospitals, mobile clinics, improved package for health workers, free medical services for the downtrodden and a string of several other strides in the sector.
It’s on this premise he was found extremely suitable to deputize the outgoing Governor who brought nothing other than disappointment to the people of the state.
Now That the leadership of the party and the people has realize the potentials embedded in this man and thus agreed to lobby him to come and rescue the state, it’s going to be no more than the triumph of a golden hero.
