Sallah: Kaduna Church Distributes Over 2000 Take-away Food Packs to Muslim Destitues, Inmates,IDPs & Almajirai

The Take away food distribution was headed by pastor Yohanna Buru,the general overseer of  The Christ Evangelical and life Intercessory Fellowship Ministry Sabon Tasha in Kaduna state North-western Nigeria.

According to the pastor ,The food donation was aimed at promoting peaceful co-existence between Muslims and Christians across the 36 states of Nigeria, and to help the needy Muslims brother with food to eat  at home with their families and to encourage them in praying for Nigeria.

The take away food was distributed to people with different forms of deformities, inmates, Almajirai and some poor muslims families in the state.

Buru said, we have to help our poor muslims brothers with food,in other to enable them celebrate the festivity with joy and happiness like any other muslims across the world.so as to strengthening good relationship with Muslims, and promote religious Tolerance, better understanding among different faith base organization.”

The cleric said, This is not the first time, the church is distributing foods stuffs to the needy Muslims during their festivity including Ramadan.

Adding that  last year, Over 1,100 packaged food and drinks were distributed to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), destitute and widows and some prison inmate in Kaduna state, and all this is to support the poor in breaking their fast with happiness and joy like any other Muslims across the planet.

Buru pointed out clearly  that, the reason why the church is helping the poor Muslims is because, “Both the Muslims and Christians were children’s of Adams and Eve “Biological parents”, Both Muslims and Christians believe in One God “Allah” both Muslims and Christians have holy books which are Bible and Qur’an, Both of them believed in life after death ,and both Believed in paradise and hell, so we are all brothers and sisters, therefore we must support each other to live in peace and harmony.”

Additionally Buru said ,the increase in the prices of food commodities at various markets has forced many Nigerians into difficulties, adding that most prices of food stuff and other commodities in the market have almost triple than the normal price that consumers usually buys at local markets.

Buru appealed to wealthy Muslims and Christians across the 36 states of Nigeria and government at all level to find means of assisting the poor, most especially the widows and orphans with  food to eat during festivity like this.

 “God listen to the prayers of Widows, orphans and destitutes, therefore  let’s take this advantage of taking full care of them,so that when they eat, and then pray to God to Give us peace in the our country,peace that can end all forms terrorism activities in Africa.”

Receiving the food item at the physically challenged person home at Kano road kaduna,mallam Tukur zubairu, Leader of blind people in Kaduna central  expressed satisfaction over the continuous food donation year-by-year  by the Christians to the disabled person which is usually by pastor Yohanna.

Mallam Tukar  said every year during a season like, pastor Yohanna Buru and his members always remembered them and they usually comes to this house and donate plenty  food item to our members,adding that its only God that can reward pastor Yohanna Buru for coming to see them every years without showing them any sign of discrimination or stigmatizing them.

He said,” Today is sallah,but there is no one that remember us,we have been with hungry since morning,there is nothing to eat until when pastor and his team visited the house.”

Also responding on behalf of the centre Mallam lawal maduru,the chairman of Niggas rehabilitation centre in kaduna urged other religious clerics to emulate the good gestured of pastor Yohanna Buru.

Mallam Nigga concluded by saying that we must help one another to make Nigeria great irrespective of our ethno-religious, political differences.
