With a day to go in a week-long online poll of over 44,000 Nigerians so far, the opposition is clearly defeating the incumbent president of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari by 66 to 34 points.

Together of three opposition contestants vying for the top seat, Atiku Abubakar, Fela Durotoye and Yele Sowore have 66% while incumbent Muhammadu Buhari has only 34%.

The poll gives hope to Nigerians clamoring for real change that once again as happened in the previous election the incumbent is unpopular and can easily be defeated once the opposition unites around a singular candidate.

Nigerians Still Addicted To Old Recycled Cabal

Observers however noted that Nigerians are still attracted to old cabal. Buhari and Atiku, the two old cabal in the poll combined had 64 percentage points, while the two new generation candidates, Yele Sowore and Fela Durotomi combined bagged 36 points.

Atiku and Buhari compared side by side among a list of other cabal, Atiku tied Buhari with both scoring 36%.

Commenting, political analyst Dr. Dimeji said the results were shameful as it was beyond proven that the old cabal had nothing to offer Nigerians; but somehow however, Nigerians including online seemed “fatally and mortally attracted to the old failed goons.”

Several popular candidates like Ahmed Buhari and Dr. Perry Brimah and were not polled in the four-man poll which limited its applicability.
