A brother from Kano state sent me clip where the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, said “We Ahlul Sunna must unite to wage war against Shiites…. “
This should not be words of a leader that should unite the community. These are words of bloodthirsty #ISIS and #BokoHaram terrorists who are divisive and pose existential threats to all humanity.
Sunni and Shia are the two wings of Islam. They are not at war in the past, not at war in present and will never be at war in future. Those who promote sectarian hate are neither Sunni nor Shia, they are agents of Western imperialism and Global Zionism.
Sanusi should emulate the Leadership standards set by the person he succeeded, the Late Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero. One of the wives of Ado Bayero is a Shia Muslim. He encouraged her work on Shia Islam until his death. One of the children of Ado Bayero is my close friend.
Why will Sunnis wage war against their Shia brothers and sisters? Why can’t Sanusi call for war against the armed bandits that are killing largely Sunni Muslims in Zamfara state? Why can’t Sanusi call for war against BokoHaram terrorists that had slaughtered more than 50,000 innocent Nigerians? The kidnapping industry is growing in Northern Nigeria, why is Sanusi silent on this?
More than 10 million out-of-school children in Nigeria, the overwhelming majority of them are Sunnis and more than 3 million of them from Kano state, what is the bloodthirsty Sanusi doing about this catastrophe? It is important to note that his same Sanusi embezzled billions of Naira from the Kano Emirate treasury. It took the physical intervention of Vice President Osinbajo to save him.
This bloodthirsty Sanusi is part of the bloodthirsty Wahhabi gang that executed the brutal and inhuman Saudi-sponsored #ZariaGenocide. He is one of the murderous criminals that the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky reported to the International Criminal Court, ICC, for prosecution. When President Buhari went to Saudi Arabia Tobe rewarded for the brutal slaughter of 1000+ innocent children, women and men in Zaria, Emir Sanusi was part of his entourage.
On a Final note, We call on all Nigerians especially the good people of Kano state to reject this war mongering by Emir Sanusi. We should promote unity, love, peace, progress and development. One is either your brother in faith or your brother in humanity.
