Nigerians Disturbed By Buhari Accepting Niger Republic Official Delegation At APC Campaign As Official Memo Emerges

Nigerians are continuing to express displeasure and distrust in the electoral process as an official memo from the presidency of Niger republic sending delegates to Buhari’s campaign emerges.

Disapproved of as a case of the president accepting blatant foreign interference, Nigerians worry about other ways foreigners may play a role in the Buhari re-election bid.

Popular commentator, Dr Farook Kperogi said on twitter:

“A memo from Niger Republic showing that it sent 60 pple to attend Buhari’s campaign event. Under what norm of international relation is this overtly partisan meddlesomeness acceptable? Yet, when pple from whom d govt begs money for election talk of free & fair election, Buhari’s government shamelessly complains of “foreign interference.” Is Niger Republic’s unprecedentedly overt partisanship domestic interference? What business do they have with our election, and why did Buhari’s gov’t welcome them?

To those quibbling about the memo, two governors from Niger Republic and their delegations DID actually attend Buhari’s rally in Kano, and it was all over the news.
