The team leaders of the Christians clerics delegation from Northern Nigeria was headed by pastor Yohanna Buru,the general overseer of Christ evangelical and life intervention ministry Sabon Tasha.
According to him this is the 7th times they are visiting Sheick Dahiru Bauchi, one of the Top Nigerian Islamic scholar in other to strengthening peaceful co-existence and better understanding between Muslims and Christians.
Buru says, they use iftar season in promoting inter-religious relation and dialogue while also promoting peace,unity,forgiveness and the teachings of tolerance among Nigerians.
He says,“We are doing this to enhance unity and to promote inter religious harmony and to avoid all forms of ethno religious, political and community crisis.”
“We are here with our Reverend,pastors,evengelist with church elders to meet and interact with Top muslims scholars for the breaking of Ramadan fast for peace and unity.”
Pastor Yohanna Buru added that for the fast 7 years, they have taken peace campaign during iftar to most of Nigeria Islamic scholars which include Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Abubakar sa’ad, sheick Ibrahim Yakub ElZazzaky, sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, and even toke the campaign to some neighboring African countries like Niger-republic and Benin –republic,with the aims of preaching and promoting peace and unity during iftar.
Buru stressed that they will continued spread the message of peace and unity through out Ramadan.
He says, every year over 10 different muslims organization usually do invite him for Ramadan break fast to talk on issues related to peace building and each time, he got this opportunity,he invite other christians scholars to come and dine an even interact with other top Islamic scholar on how to boost Christian –muslims relation in Nigeria.
The says,Nigeria need our prayers ,we have to support her in other to end all the insecurity challenges bordering peace stability in the country.
While we pray for peaceful swearing-in of our president, we urged to appointed news ministers that has the people at their heart.
Buru called on all Nigerian clerics both muslims and christians to double-up effort in prayers for Nigeria military men that are in the battled ground,for God protection.
He then called on newly elected Governors to be committed in reducing the high rate of unemployment among youth, so as to reduce the numbers of youth in crime, drug addicts.
In his own remark Reverend Emanuel sabo, he says ,we are a from one family,”Adam and eve” and worshipping one God, therefore we must join hands in making show that the message of peace is spread across the continent.
While thanking sheick Dahiru bauchi for given them the opportunity to meet and interact with other top Nigerian muslims scholars.
Responding sheick Dahiru usman Bauchi expressed satisfaction over the visit, while calling on peace and unity to all Nigeria.
He appealed to all Citizens to be good patriotic citizens
