A disturbing video has shown what appears to be Nigerian troops setting suspects on fire. There are no details of the video and it is not certain if the suspects are Boko Haram combatants, Berom christians or shia minority Muslims, however the act of burning human beings alive is not permitted according to Nigerian Rules of Combat and a crime against humanity and God.

Nigerian army is one of the most cruel on the planet, routinely accused of gross and unspeakable human right violations.

Videos in the past have captured the army torturing youth by drowning them in muddy water. Nigerian soldiers have also conducted too many massacres to mention. In instances killing as many as 2500 people at a go and wiping out villages and towns.

During the Zaria massacre of 2015 when 1000 youth were executed by the Nigerian army, many were killed by being set ablaze and in the cover-up that followed, hundreds were said to have been buried alive, in a mass grave secretly in the middle of the night by the Nigerian army in collaboration with the Kaduna state government.
